Aleph 1 - Ox/The Strong Leader

April 10, 2021

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of Yahuah.Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully.Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands. As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!I will obey your decrees. Please don’t give up on me!

Yahuah's word is so rich with love, protection, and care. I am grateful He did not utterly cut me off in my sin. He is so wise and His wisdom is unmatched. I always wondered about the Hebrew words in Psalm 119. I didn't know what they were, what they meant, or why they were there. Maybe there is a spiritual meaning beyond what I can see and understand.

For now, I read our ancestor, King David's words as a model for conditioning my heart after Yah's will. And, I learn the Hebrew Alphabet. Each letter also represents a number and teaches us something about our people, culture, and land. Are we joyful about being sons and daughters of Yahuah walking in His integrity and laws? Are we allowing Yah to be our strong leader in our homes and most importantly, the altar of our hearts?

Beyt 2 - House/Tent/Body/Family

April 12, 2021

   9. How can a young person stay pure?

obeying your word.

  10. I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands.

  11. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

  12. I praise you, O Yahuah; teach me your decrees.

  13. I have recited aloud all the regulations you have given us.

  14. I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches.

  15. I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.

  16. I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word.

Our Yahuah created spirits are housed in the body of flesh He gave us. In the same way, we wash our bodies for cleansing, our spirit man needs to be cleansed from things that defile us through what we see, hear, and experience in the world. Yah's word is like cleansing water for our spirit. If we treasure His word and secure it in our hearts, it will purify our hearts and minds. In this way, we are always students of His word and way.

Gimel 3 - Foot/Camel/Pride/ Something Lifted Up

April 14, 2021

  17. Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word.

  18. Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.

  19. I am only a foreigner in the land. Don’t hide your commands from me!

  20. I am always overwhelmed with a desire for your regulations.

  21. You rebuke the arrogant; those who wander from your commands are cursed.

  22. Don’t let them scorn and insult me, for I have obeyed your laws.

  23. Even princes sit and speak against me, but I will meditate on your decrees.

  24. Your laws please me; they give me wise advice.

Today's world is full of many distractions. It seems easy to give our attention to those things that do not prepare us for Yahuah's kingdom. As you read and meditate on this part of the Psalm, consider how Kind David made a conscious decision to keep his mind on Yah's laws and his foot on Yah's path of righteousness.

Dalet 4 - Tent Door/Pathway/Way of Life

April 16, 2021

  25. I lie in the dust; revive me by your word.

  26. I told you my plans, and you answered. Now teach me your decrees.

  27. Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on              your wonderful deeds.

  28. I weep with sorrow; encourage me by your word.

  29. Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your instructions.

  30. I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.

  31. I cling to your laws. Yahuah, don’t let me be put to shame!

  32. I will pursue your commands, for you expand my understanding.

What kind of doors do we open in our lives and where are those doors leading us? John 10:7-10, Then Yahusha said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.

Hey 5 - Behold!/Lo!/To Reveal

April 18, 2021

  33. Teach me your decrees, O Yahuah; I will keep them to the end.

  34. Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into          practice with all my heart.

  35. Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my                  happiness  is found.

  36. Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!

  37. Turn my eyes on worthless things, and give me life through your word.

  38. Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.

  39. Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.

  40. I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness.

When Yahuah allows a person or power to exercise authority over us, that person or power cannot reveal everything they know about their assignment. It is wonderful for the people of Yah to know He has appointed this very time and dispensation to reveal the truth about who His people are and why we have suffered so much.

Proverbs 26:2 says the curse causeless shall not come. There is a cause for our situation and if we respond righteously to Yahuah's word concerning our suffering, He will turn our captivity and our sufferings. He will reverse the curse.

Vav 6 - Nail/Peg/To Add or Join Together

April 19, 2021

  41. Yahuah, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.

  42. Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.

  43. Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only          hope.

  44. I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.

  45. I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.

  46. I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.

  47. How I delight in your commands! How I love them!

  48. I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your decrees.

The word above is actually Yahuah's name written from right to left in Paleo Hebrew. It reads: Yod (Ya) Hey/Vav (h/oo) Hey (ah). Translated, it means Hand Behold, Nail Behold or Look, the Hand, Look, the Nail. Yahusha our Messiah was indeed pierced in his hands and feet. As he was being put to death, he remained faithful to Yahuah's instructions for our salvation, trusting that our Abba Father would raise him up again. Through his death, we were "joined" back to the Father again-as the ultimate price for sin was paid in full.

Zayin 7 - Plow/Weapon/Cut Off/Axe

April 20, 2021

  49. Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.

  50. Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles (affliction-KJV).

  51. The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your                instructions.

  52. I meditate on your age-old regulations; O Yahuah, they comfort me.

  53. I become furious with the wicked because they reject your instructions.

  54. Your decrees have been the theme of my songs wherever I have lived.

  55. I reflect at night on who you are, O Yahuah; therefore, I obey your                        instructions.

  56. This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments.

As it was in the days of our ancestors, we do need Yahuah's comfort in our present troubles and affliction. Read how our ancestor King David talked of our backs being plowed like a field. Yahuah does give us the comfort of His word of promise to redeem and save us from these troubles (also known as Jacob's troubles). He also gives us the comfort of His Spirit which dwells with us when we walk in righteousness before HIm.

  57. Yahuah, you are mine! I promise to obey your words!

  58. With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised.

  59. I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.

  60. I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.

  61. Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to your                      instructions.

  62. I rise at midnight to thank you for your just regulations.

  63. I am a friend to anyone who fears you— anyone who obeys your                            commandments.

  64. O Yahuah, your unfailing love fills the earth; teach me your decrees.

Yahuah belongs to us and we belong to Him. He is our portion and we are His inheritance. We are not like other nations. Yahuah has separated us from Himself. When the world tempts us with things that look good, sound good, and feel good, but are not righteous, we need to remember that this world will pass away with all of its stuff, but Yahuah's word endures forever. When we make him our portion and our habitation, we will also endure forever in Him.

Psalm 92 - A Psalm For The Sabbath

April 23, 2021

It is good to praise Yahuah,

and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning

and Your faithfulness at night

with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre.

For You, O Yahuah, have made me glad by Your deeds;

I sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

How great are Your works, O Yahuah,

how deep are Your thoughts!

A senseless man does not know,

and a fool does not understand,

that though the wicked sprout like grass,

and all evildoers flourish,

they will be forever destroyed.

But You, O Yahuah, are exalted forever!

For surely Your enemies, O Yahuah,

surely Your enemies will perish;

all evildoers will be scattered.

But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox;

with fine oil, I have been anointed.

My eyes see the downfall of my enemies;

my ears hear the wailing of my wicked foes.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,

and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Planted in the house of Yahuah,

they will flourish in the courts of our Elohiym.

In old age they will still bear fruit;

healthy and green they will remain,

to proclaim, “Yahuah is upright; He is my Rock,

and in Him, there is no unrighteousness.”

Have a blessed Sabbath Day.

  65. You have done many good things for me, Yahuah, just as you promised.

  66. I believe in your commands; now teach me good judgment and knowledge.

  67. I used to wander off until you disciplined me, but now I closely follow your            word.

  68. You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees.

  69. Arrogant people smear me with lies, but in truth, I obey your                                commandments with all my heart.

  70. Their hearts are dull and stupid, but I delight in your instructions.

  71. My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your                decrees.

  72. Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver.

How often can we say our suffering is a good thing? How was King David able to say this? He looked at the goodness of Yahuah and His righteous laws and commandments, which are designed to correct us when we are wrong. He looked at the outcome of that suffering and how Yahuah's word surrounded him and brought him back from being wayward. He learned from the "sting" of pain not to repeat actions that led to his current situation of suffering. How valuable and precious correction can be when it is done for righteousness and produces the good fruit of obedience. The scriptures tell us Yahusha learned obedience to our Abba Yahuah through the things he suffered Hebrews 5:8.

Yod 10 - Arm/Hand/Finished Work/Deed

April 26, 2021

  73. You made me; you created me. (Your hands have made me-KJV) Now give              me the sense to follow your commands.

  74. May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put my hope in              your word.

  75. I know, O Yahuah, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because          I needed it.

  76. Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your                  servant.

  77. Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions              are my delight.

  78. Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I               will concentrate on your commandments.

  79. Let me be united with all who fear you, with those who know your laws.

  80. May I be blameless in keeping your decrees; then I will never be ashamed.

In Yahuah's hands, we are loved, protected, and cared for. In His hands, we are also corrected and disciplined. Because He is a loving father, His discipline is another expression of His love-even if it does not feel like it at the moment. In his sin with Bathsheba, our ancestor King David was offered a choice of punishments once he acknowledged his sin. One of the choices was to fall into the hands of his enemies and another was to fall into the hands of Yahuah. His punishment was still grievous to endure, but King David was wise enough to know the mercies of Yahuah and was able to receive that mercy after he endured Yahuah's correction.

Kaph 20 - Palm of Hand/To Allow/To Open/Suppress

April 28, 2021

  81. I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word.

  82. My eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me?

  83. I am shriveled like a wineskin in the smoke, but I have not forgotten to obey  your decrees.

  84. How long must I wait? When will you punish those who persecute me?

  85. These arrogant people who hate your instructions have dug deep pits to trap me.

  86. All your commands are trustworthy. Protect me from those who hunt me down without cause.

  87. They almost finished me off, but I refused to abandon your commandments.

  88. In your unfailing love, spare my life; then I can continue to obey your laws.

These are troubling times for many people and for Hebrews in particular. We carry in our very DNA the wounds of centuries of oppression. It can appear as though Yahuah is slow to act on our behalf or not even acting at all. Do not allow your mind to dwell in dispair. Yahuah is very clear about upholding His people with the right hand of His righteousness. In due time and at the right time, we shall see His judgment upon our enemies and we will experience real salvation of deliverance from every design of oppression and those who oppress the righteous. There is a strategic and appointed time for Yahuah's justice. Let us hold fast to our profession of faith. It will not be long.

Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

The Hebrew word here translated “rod” has a long history. Its meanings include rod, scepter, and weapon. It does not refer to a “walking stick” as we often see this depicted in drawings. Read the rest of Keith Haney's enlightening article here.

Lamed 30 - Staff/Goad/Control/Teach/Forward

April 30, 2021

  89. Your eternal word, O Yahuah, stands firm in heaven.

  90. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you            created.

  91. Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.

  92. If your instructions hadn’t sustained me with joy, I would have died in my              misery.

  93. I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.

  94. I am yours; rescue me! For I have worked hard at obeying your                              commandments.

  95. Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my                mind on your laws.

  96. Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limit.

Yahuah's word is forever settled in heaven. Whatever He has established is what will be. When is He going to set things right in the world? Well, we have to consider Yahuah is connected inseparably (Is that even a word) to His people. His people, the Hebrews scattered all over the world are and have been out of our designated position for 400 plus years. World events are tied to this group of people. Yahuah has been angry with us. We have forsaken our covenant with Him and He, for a while turned His face from us, but HalleluYah...We are waking up to who we are and responding to His covenant call once again.

He is doing this because He is Most Wonderful-The Covenant Keeping Elohyim! For Abraham He does it. For Issac He does it. For Jacob (Israel) He does it. What does He do? He keeps His word when every other God does not. He is remembering our covenant Yisrael and turning toward His people again. His power in our lives is becoming more and more evident with each passing day. He is coming for us! Make sure your life is worthy of His visitation.

It does not matter what we currently see with our eyes in the global world. Because the earth and everything and everyone in it belongs to Him, He ultimately is in control. Is he is control of the chaos in the world? Absolutely. Proverbs tells us that Yahuah created the wicked for the day of evil. Those who currently live out those roles are only doing what they were assigned to do. If you are righteous, continue to be righteous. Righteousness delivers from (eternal) death. Be encouraged to continue walking with the staff of Yahuah by faith and not by sight. He will never leave nor forsake His people.

Jubilees Chapter 2: Yahuah and The Malikim (Angels) Keep Shabbat

April 30, 2021

16. And He finished all his work on the sixth day -all that is in the heavens and on the earth, and in the seas and in the abysses, and in the light and in the darkness, and in everything.

17. And He gave us a great sign, the Shabbat day, that we should work six days, but keep Shabbat on the seventh day from all work.

18. And all the malakim of the presence, and all the malakim of sanctification, these two great classes -He has bidden us keep the Shabbat with Him in heaven and on earth.

19. And He said to us: 'Behold, I will separate unto Myself a people from among all the peoples, and these shall keep the Shabbat day, and I will sanctify them unto Myself as My people, and will bless them; as I have sanctified the Shabbat day and do sanctify it unto Myself, even so, will I bless them, and they shall be My people and I will be their Sovereign Ruler.

20. And I have chosen the seed of Yacob from amongst all that I have seen, and have written him down as My first-born son, and have sanctified him unto Myself forever and ever; and I will teach them the Shabbat day, that they may

keep Shabbat thereon from all work.'

21. And thus He created therein a sign in accordance with which they should keep Shabbat with us on the seventh day, to eat and to drink, and to bless Him who has created all things as He has blessed and sanctified unto Himself a peculiar people above all peoples and that they should keep Shabbat together with us.

The book of Jubilees is also known as Little Genesis because it recounts the story of creation. In it, you will learn details about creation not included in a standard bible. For example, did you ever learn in Christianity that Yahuah and the Angels kept the Sabbath Day or Shabbat Day?

Consider our Mashiach/Messiah Yahusha's prayer..."Thy kingdom comes, Thy will be done"-where? On earth, as it is in Heaven!

Have a blessed Shabbat/Sabbath Day.

Mem 40 - Water/Chaos/Mighty/Massive

May 2, 2021

97. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all day.

98. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my      meditation.

100. I understand more than the ancients because I keep thy precepts.

101. I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102. I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Yahuah's word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. It shows us where we are and where we are going. It helps us to avoid things that might trip us up and cause us to stumble and fall. In a similar way, His word also cleanses us. When we are coming out of a lifestyle of habitual sin, we need to let Yahuah's word shine the light on areas of our lives where we are dirty and need to be cleaned.

If we allow His word to do what it is designed to do, we will not be confused by all the chaos in the world and we will have a continuous flow of cleansing (a meditation for) our souls from the pollutants of lust and self-worship. Let's allow our hearts to receive His word, so that we may continually delight ourselves in His presence without fear.

Nun 50 - Seed/Fish/Descendant/Life/Faithfulness

May 4, 2021

105. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

106. I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous                        regulations.

107. I have suffered much, O Yahuah; restore my life again as you promised.

108. Yahuah, accept my offering of praise, and teach me your regulations.

109. My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your                          instructions.

110. The wicked have set their traps for me, but I will not turn from your                              commandments.

111. Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.

112. I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end.

Yahuah is very much like a gardener and His words are like seeds that are sown in the ground of our hearts. His word is life, cleansing, correction, and health to us. It will yield the best crops in our lives if the soil of our hearts allows the seeds to grow. This is totally up to us. Yahuah is also like a parent who must discipline/correct a wayward son or daughter. When we are children, we generally do what our parents tell us to do because generally, they do know what is better or best for us.

When we become adults, we have to make the most of our own choices. So, if we choose to allow His word to correct and guide us, the resulting "fruit" or crop will be in our favor such as preventing us from making a terrible deal or getting into a bad relationship. It can also connect us to resources that will put us in an optimal position for our families and future generations. If we choose to ignore Yahuah's "seed" words of guidance in an area because we do not like what He is saying, then we alone bear the consequences of our actions. Yahuah understands that His decisions for us are not always likable, but since He does hold the entire world and our future in His hands-doesn't He know what is truly best for us?

Our Elohiym is watching everything from HIs throne. There is nothing new under the sun and no one takes Him by surprise. This is where we really need to trust that Yahuah knows what is best for us and what will yield the best kind of fruit and crops in our lives such as peace, joy, contentment, and a blessed eternity. Sometimes the fruit of obedience to Yahuah's word is the simple gift of maintaining inner peace in the midst of conflict as He works out every situation for our good and HIs glory.

Samekh 60 - Hand On Staff/Support/Prop/Assist

May 6, 2021

113.  I hate those with divided loyalties, but I love your instructions.

114.  You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.

115. Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my Elohiym.

116. Yahuah, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be     crushed.

117. Sustain me, and I will be rescued; then I will meditate continually on your decrees.

118. But you have rejected all who stray from your decrees. They are only fooling   themselves.

119. You skim off the wicked of the earth like scum; no wonder I love to obey your laws!

120. I tremble in fear of you; I stand in awe of your regulations.

Can you hear King David's petition for help and commitment to keep Yahuah's laws in the face of those who live in opposition to Yahuah's laws? How does he do it? With a daily meditation on Yahuah's commandments and putting himself in remembrance of who Yah is and what He has done for him in the past.

These are the days that require constant meditation on the certainty of scripture and prophecy-which is why our walk is a walk of faith. It is a righteous thing to do and protects your soul. These are the days Yahuah's people need to draw from the spiritual armory to be able to stand against the constant firey onslaught of our enemies. We require 24/7 communication with and through the Holy Spirit or Ruach Haqodesh for periodic downloads of strength, endurance, courage, and wisdom. This is what King David understood and put into practice as a lifestyle.

This is nothing new to Yisrael, but an old and ancient battle-one in which those who have decided to serve Yahuah will secure their victory in Him. The battle is His and the war is not really war as we may currently understand. Why? Because Yahuah has no equal. He has no counterpart or archenemy. Satan is not His enemy remember how he had to present himself before Yahuah in the book of Job? Satan is a servant as are all demonic entities. Yahuah is not a man and He is actually more than an Elohiym. He is something else.

His power is here and coming. He will bring correction and judgment to His people and then to the nations that oppose Him, His laws, and people. Do we who understand the ebbs and flow of judgment not see it in our world today? He is the Maker and Creator of the heavens and earth and will re-establish His authority on earth within His creation.

Ayin 70 - Eye/To See/Experience/Understand/Fountain

May 8, 2021

121. Don’t leave me to the mercy of my enemies, for I have done what is just and right.

122. Please guarantee a blessing for me. Don’t let the arrogant oppress me!

123. My eyes strain to see your rescue, to see the truth of your promise fulfilled.

124. I am your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me your decrees.

125. Give discernment to me, your servant;then I will understand your laws.

126. Yahuah, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have violated your        instructions.

127. Truly, I love your commands more than gold, even the finest gold.

128. Each of your commandments is right. That is why I hate every false way.

Our vision is so precious. With it, we can physically view our world and the beauty of Yah's creation. We behold the faces of those we love and cherish. When they pass away, we still remember what they look like and remember how much they meant to us. However, our vision as spiritual beings is not limited to the physical realm. We also see with our minds and our hearts-parts of the body that are physical, but also spiritual. For example, when we think about something we like-we can almost immediately image or imagine how that thing makes us feel.

Our feelings are tied to our emotions and creates within us a desire for whatever it is we like and cause us to pursue obtaining it. This can be a pursuit for what is good or evil and it is the condition of our hearts that determines, which pursuit we choose. Choosing chocolate cake over a bowl of fruit is not inherently evil, but if we are diabetic, suffer from high cholesterol, and are a little on the heavy side...our internal organs will not give Yahuah a good report about what we just ate. Life is in our blood, and we know our blood talks to Yah.

So, our eyes, minds, emotions, bodies, and desires are all interwoven together as our various brain structures are. Those complex brain structures are Yah's handiwork. Think of us as a body of systems within Yah. No one part operates independently as an island. Our brain bodies are all connected as one. Therefore, it makes sense for us as a Holy Qodesh nation to be of one righteous mind, one righteous heart, and one righteous vision in Yahuah. For we walk by faith and not by sight. In other words, we do what we do for His kingdom and our brethren believing in His faithfulness to help us accomplish His work in the earth.

Have a wonderful Shabbat Family.

Pey 80 - Mouth/Word/Speak/Present/Beginning/Open

May 10, 2021

129. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

130. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

131. I opened my mouth and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

132. Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

133. Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

135. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.

136. Rivers of waters run down my eyes because they (men) keep not thy law.

Yahuah's word is so rich. Not only is it light to our path, but it's also a spirit-filled life-sustaining food for our soul. Sometimes His word is so clear, it needs no follow-up or interpretation to be understood. Read below.

Remember that these forty years Yahuah your Elohyim led you all the way in the wilderness so that He might humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commandments.

He humbled you, and in your hunger, He gave you manna to eat, which neither you nor your fathers had known, so that you might understand that man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of Yahuah. Your clothing did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.… So know in your heart that just as a man disciplines his son, so Yahuah your Elohiym disciplines you. Therefore you shall keep the commandments of Yahuah your Elohiym, walking in His ways and fearing Him. Deuteronomy 8:3-6.

Bread is anything or anyone you feel you need more than you need Yahuah's testimonies (laws).

Side Note: Yahuah does have a humorous side. Notice how He cares about our feet swelling up. There are little nuggets of His expressed love throughout scripture. We just have to recognize that what may seem insignificant in scripture is never insignificant if it is recorded. And, It may be that Yahuah wants to see how much we want to know-will we search for more of Him in His word?

Tzaddi 90 - Man on Side/Need/Hook/Hunt/Harvest/Righteous

May 12, 2021

137. Righteous art thou, O Yahuah, and upright are thy judgments.

138. Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

139. My zeal hath consumed me because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140. Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

141. I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

142. Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

143. Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me: yet thy commandments are my      delights.

144. The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

The breastplate of righteousness is just one piece of the spiritual armor we are supposed to wear. The breastplate protects our vital organs in battle and gives us the ability to fight against our enemies with a degree of confidence we would not have without it. In this case, our spiritual vital organ is our righteousness. How is it like our vital organs such as our heart and lungs?

Proverbs 10:2 says, "Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death."

Let's look at this scripture more closely. Treasures of wickedness can be money or things or positions or powers we gain in an unjust or illegal way. In Hebrew understanding, the word illegal simply refers to anything that opposes Torah teachings. So, if we obtain anything dishonestly, it is considered unjust and unrighteous.

All of our behaviors earn us present-day and future rewards. Some rewards are to righteousness and some to unrighteousness. In other words, Yahuah pays wages according to how we live and our lives, in particular, are lived before Him. If we do what is right, there is a payment for that and if we do what is wrong, there is a payment for that.

The honest truth is that Yahuah is all of 'our' righteousness. We have no original righteousness of our own, but if we keep His laws in mind as we go about our daily lives and let His laws direct what we say and do, we remain under the shadow of His wings and under His protection.

When we live outside of His laws and break His commandments, we are outside His realm of protection. We are then in enemy territory vulnerable and susceptible to the attacks of our enemies. Our very lives and/or those of our families could be at stake. In Israel/Yisrael, we understand that Yahuah has cut off entire families or put a specific curse on a family for the wickedness of just one family member. This is our reality as Yisrael and not necessarily the reality of other nations.

In the former case, righteous living prevents our adversary, satan from gaining a foothold on us and if he does try to hold us, it is our righteous living that breaks his unlawful hold on us-delivering us. It really does go back to the condition of our hearts. Until Yahuah comes for us with His literal salvation from the land of our enemies, we need to wear our breastplate of righteousness and amor every day all day.

Qof/Kof 100 - Sun on Horizon/Behind/Last/Final/Least

May 14, 2021

145. I pray with all my heart; answer me, Yahuah! I will obey your decrees.

146. I cry out to you; rescue me, that I may obey your laws.

147. I rise early before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words.

148. I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise.

149. In your faithful love, O Yahuah, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations.

150. Lawless people are coming to attack me; they live far from your instructions.

151. But you are near, O Yahuah, and all your commands are true.

152. I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever.

Family, can you identify with the urgency with which King David often speaks and is speaking here in this psalm? It is a cry and a plea for Yahuah's immediate help. Since coming into the truth about who we are and making a personal decision to turn away from what I've been doing for over 30 years, I've known this urgent, almost desperate feeling as a norm. Why is King David speaking as if Yahuah is taking His time or Yah forbid, ignoring him?

There could be multiple reasons for this, but let's first establish something about what we know about Yahuah. His eye is ever and always on His people-even in our state of captivity. He is not a deserter. He does not leave His children without any defenses.

Other reasons include: Yahuah may have already put Malikim/Angels on assignment to help David and they will be there; Yahuah may be allowing bad actors (children of the devil) space to show Him who they really are so that when He brings judgment upon them, it will be just according to the works of their hands; Another reason, which we may be hoping is not happening is that Yahuah is testing us. However, no teacher spends a year educating students without testing their knowledge. It's a must and most teachers want you to pass and will keep bringing you back around to the content material you have not mastered- yet.

King David is in an uncomfortable position. His enemies are always around him causing trouble. But, notice how he refocuses his attention on Yahuah-his source of help, strength, and deliverance. As he is praying to Yahuah, he is reminding himself that Yahuah's laws are keeping and will keep him and we must follow his example. Be encouraged that everything and every wickedness has an appointed time. Yahuah's wills will be done. Our salvation is imminently on the horizon, and so is the world's judgment. Occupy righteously until He comes.

Resh 200 - Head/Person/First/Chief/Important

May 16, 2021

153. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

154. Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

155. Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

156. Great are thy tender mercies, O Yahuah: quicken me according to thy judgments.

157. Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy        testimonies.

158. I beheld the transgressors and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

159. Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Yahuah, according to thy       lovingkindness.

160. Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever.

Once again, we are able to look into our ancestor's most private moments of affliction and hear his prayer of supplication to Yahuah. For the days that we are in, his words are completely relatable as they are comforting. Someone else from thousands of years before in my bloodline knows exactly how I feel in 2021. His prayers which are full of urgency and intensity have become my prayers.

King David tells us about his suffering and his oppressors and cries out to Yahuah to protect and deliver him. Yahuah does protect him and deliver him from all of his enemies. King David completes his life's work and is blessed to sleep with his fathers-our fathers who have passed on. Yahuah is always faithful. He was always going to fight for and deliver His servant.

What is the difference or the takeaway between Kind David's prayer posted last Friday under the letter Kof and this one posted under the letter, Resh? The prayer is essentially the same. The feeling of desperation is also the same. The main difference is one of how Yahuah directs our focus and tries our hearts. Three thousand years ago, our Creator Yahuah knew where David would be. He also knew where you and I would be. Yahuah is constantly molding us and shaping us-stretching us and building us.

Ask yourself, Is Yahuah worthy of all the praise when pain is so great, there are no words? Is Yahuah most important above all things when you don't know if you can pay your mortgage or rent? When you've lost the only person you could confide in and know your personal business would be kept in confidence, Is Yahuah still "Chief" in your heart? When it seems like everyone is receiving a blessing except for you, will your loyalty to His commandments, laws, and statutes still take first place in your heart and mind?

If your answer is "yes", give praise to Yahuah because He keeps us. If your answer is "no", give praise to Yahuah because whom Yahuah loves, He chastens so that we can be healed and grow. We are a royal warrior nation-not just a nation of kings and priests. Our Commander In Chief is Yahuah Tsebaoth and if Yah is for us....? And He is. HalleluYah!

Shin 300 - Eat/Consume/Destroy/Teeth/Sharp

May 18, 2021

161. Princes (Powerful People-NLT) have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

162. I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

163. I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

164. Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

165. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

166. Yahuah, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

167. My soul hath kept thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.

168. I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

In the face of adversity, let us be like our forefather King David who:

-Esteemed Yahuah's word above his own discomfort

-Rejoiced in Yahuah's word as if it were a treasure chest of gold

-Loved Yahuah's law instead of loving lies and lying

-Praised Yahuah throughout his day trusting in His righteous judgments

-Chose the peace of obedience to Yahuah's laws over choosing to be offended when persecution arises for keeping His laws.

-Hoped for Yahuah's salvation while keeping Torah/laws.

-Meditated on and obeyed Yahuah's laws.

-Kept the foundational principles and words of Yahuah in his heart knowing that his life is ever lived before Yahuah. (Note: It is precisely this kind of heart that allows David to quickly repent when his sin was uncovered.) Yahuah has a front row and center seat to all that we think, do and say. Very sobering.

Let our lives be consumed with pleasing our merciful Elohiym who rewards His people for righteous living and destroys the wicked for unrighteous living.

Conclusion: Tau 400 - Mark/Sign/Covenant

May 20, 2021

169. O Yahuah, listen to my cry; give me the discerning mind you promised.

170. Listen to my prayer; rescue me as you promised.

171. Let praise flow from my lips, for you have taught me your decrees.

172. Let my tongue sing about your word, for all your commands are right.

173. Give me a helping hand, for I have chosen to follow your commandments.

174. O Yahuah, I have longed for your rescue, and your instructions are my delight.

175. Let me live so I can praise you, and may your regulations help me.

176. I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands.

The year 2019 marked the 400th year since our enslaved ancestors were brought to America and many more were scattered to other nations. We have wandered from our Elohiym and our covenant and have been like lost sheep without our Shepherd. As more of our people awaken to their true identity, history, and culture, we become the sign of Yahuah's promise to gather us from these nations and bring us to our original homeland once again. This time it will be forever.

Yahuah will keep his promise to our forefathers to bless our people when we walk in righteousness before Him. Our covenant is not new but Renewed with Yahuah and we will dwell in our own land with our Elohiym in truth, holiness, and righteousness forever. What a day that will be, so wait for it!
